I was browsing through my tumblr account and I unconsciously forgot to promise and mark my words that I will start to write in this blog as constant as I could! (I’m so sorry..)
So here is one. We turned 4!
We celebrated our fourth year anniversary last October 27, 2013. The funny thing is that, days before our anniversary, Otan and I started “planning” where to eat out and what to do on our special night. Everything was set, we plan have dinner at Ariake, Tomas Morato because like to have a feeling of some place fancy and orange-y lighting, couches, “fine” dining-like ambiance. So we planned to go there directly from our review classes, grabbing a cab and celebrate.
So on the day itself, here’s what happened. We had breakfast together, he cooked for me the best breakfast this world of men could offer! (just kidding!!…it’s just the sweetest that HE cooked for me and told me that “THIS IS YOUR DAY, so wala hang bang gagawin, Happy Anniversary!”) And then we dropped by UST Church to pray, headed to Starbucks just to hang for a bit and have a light lunch, studied (we’re reviewing for boards back then) changed clothes for our “date night”, (YES, we wore “date clothes on our review classes, who cares?! LOL.) and went straight to the review center.
Then….after the class, Otan, the recipient of “Best Actor Award” came to me saying that he forgot his wallet and was strongly refusing that I would take charge financially for the dinner. He kept on telling me that we rush back to his apartment and get his wallet. (I got a feeling that something’s up..a bit of surprise and stuff but I am convincing myself that there’s nothing because I don’t want to have false hopes..haha!) So instead of hailing a cab, our friend, Paul, offered a ride back so when we arrived at his apartment, they were blind folding me, and from there I knew, that we are not going somewhere far, that he had prepared something cheesy and artsy-fartsy for me, which is the best anniversary gift/date I would ever have so far.
There’s this place, Blessed Tummy, where we usually eat on a daily basis, and when I say daily, i mean it, every.single.day. The owners became our friends and all. So he had something arranged on that place and the moment that I stepped into the place, everything was just MAGICAL.
Rose petals was scattered on the floor, a candle-lit dinner table set was up, 5-course meal was served in accordance to my meal preferences, music was being played on our side, a live acoustic version of “Beautiful in My Eyes” was played, a bouquet of red roses was handed to me and everything was just sooo perfect. It was so surreal.
I never thought I would have that kind of dinner, the only-in-the-movies kind of dinner date. I FELT LIKE A PRINCESS.
And for all of my
many many readers, I am telling you that it is not impossible. It is possible. I thank God for giving him to me and we pray for more years to celebrate!!
Here are some of the photos that night…
LOVE. LOVE. LOVE!
